Welcome on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Berne!
Dear Visitor,
On behalf of our Embassy, I would like to warmly welcome you to the updated web pages of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Bern, competent for the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Using information technology, we have managed to gather all user-relevant information in one place.
Each diplomatic mission or consular post performs several tasks. Representing Slovenian interests in the hosting country, promoting cooperation in various fields such as the economy, politics and science, and last but not least, the protection of our citizens are among our key priorities.
Contacts and short descriptions of Slovenian companies striving to win recognition and find business partners in Swiss and Liechtenstein markets are provided in the sub-section Economy, which is, of course, intended for potential partners from the two countries.
The sub-section Consular Department provides a comprehensive description of the department's activities and some of the most commonly performed administrative tasks.
The sub-section Learning Slovene contains information regarding supplementary classes in the Slovenian language.
If you have any suggestions for improving the exchange of information between the Embassy and the users of these pages, do not hesitate to let us know.
Bojan Grobovšek Ambassador
How friendly are border police officers?Dear Visitors! The Ministry of the Interior - Police has prepared a survey that measures the performance of police officers at Slovenian border crossings, their attitude towards passengers and their outward appearance. Though the results of the survey have no statistically applicable value, we will try to consider the opinions of all visitors participating in this survey. Thank you for filling it in. It will take only a few minutes of your time. The survey results should be published this autumn. There are 22 questions in this survey. Survey - HOW FRIENDLY ARE BORDER POLICE OFFICERS?
